An American Author: Zora Neale Hurston Zora Neale Hurstons brought her culture to main click America through her writing about her action and her African American culture. In 1894, Zora and family moved away to a town called Eatonville, where her father would run for mayor. Zora thought that Eatonville would become the stock place of her writing. When Zora turn thirteen years old her mother, Lucy Ann Potts Hurston, passed away. later on on the death of her mother she was treated badly by her family. Zora and her father didnt along very well.
